What are Adventure Games?
Adventure games are games where the player plays as the protagonist in an story where the player can interact with the world through a rich, story-driven game exploring, and typically solving puzzles. It’s a linear game style, meaning you’re given a set path that you can’t get off from, unlike open-world games — where you can travel far from the direction the game story intended at that point in time.
Adventure games are generally a single-player video game revolving around a rich story line and its character(s), which steers away from the multiplayer aspect you commonly see in todays’ competitive gaming scene. But some games do have multiplayers modes, like Uncharted: A Thief’s End.
Overall, Adventure games are typically played in the first-person perspective (FPS), through the eyes on the character. There are some cases of in the third-person perspective (TPS), but it’s quite uncommon.
